I enjoy ____ now, but if anyone had told me that years ago, I would never have believed them.

December 20, 2006 at 5:00 pm (Blog prompt)

I enjoy Haloween now, but I most def. wouldn’t have ever believed it if anyone had told me I would! I grew up in a neighborhood that didn’t have a lot of kids so I never really really got into it…I got to go to grandma’s and go trick or treating but even then it was a trek…soo…now that we live in a neighborhood with a ton of kids, it is spooook city!!! We had just moved in last year and pulled something together to get all ready for it and we were the hit of the subdivision…of course it could have been because we had dementors and we all know how popular they would be on haloween…And us being the overzealous people we are didn’t just have them hanging by the door…ohhh no…we rigged it up so the darn things would fly! Yep I said fly…we controlled it from upstairs window and let it fly down to meet the trick or treaters as they came down the walkway…all the kids loved it! We had foggers going, and too boot the house has an outdoor sound system (previous tenants doing) so we had spooky music running and I even convinced my mother to dress up like a witch :) Well of course this year we had to add stuff…so the dementors were still there but this time we had a skeleton that we made a coffin for and had painted him and put a black light on him…:) :) Another hit :) Next year we are gonna make it so the skeleton opens his coffin lid and who knows what else…I just can’t believe how hooked I’ve gotten at decorating for haloween…ohhhh…and can’t forget the pumpkins and we are gonna do a ghost in the window…see…I’m a monster!!! And I gotta find a costume this year…I’m thinking Jane Jetson…here ya go…you think it would be quirky enough for me :) :)

LOL Great isn’t it :) :)

What sets me out from a crowd???

December 19, 2006 at 11:31 am (Blog prompt)

Oh wow…that is a tough one…hmmmm…For the most part I don’t stand out…I’m one of those that blends in, not just phisically blends in but even on the personality level…I’m a radically versital kinda girl…I get along with just about everyone..and no I’m not just saying that! People tend to flock to me because I’m so easy to get along with…I really don’t try to stand out (mainly because I’m shy in groups unless I know them) I’m a watcher for a bit…But then of course if I know everyone look out! I can be a live wire sometimes :) So I guess overall I don’t stand out, I’m just me!

Ohhh…wait…according to Holly my hair makes me stand out…she claims I have a new hairstyle everytime she sees me :) But that is just a blah on my part…Indecisive 101…

Obviously you can tell I really really don’t know the answer to this one..I’m not even good at guessing…so I guess that makes it a question to all you…What do you think sets me out from the crowd??? Anything??

To get away…

December 19, 2006 at 11:00 am (Blog prompt)

ohhh..to get away…that peaceful, tranquil, dream world..oh wait…let me get my head out of the clouds! Actually lately..to destress and unwind i’ve been flocking toward my camera. I have found there are some pretty awsome things that I look over and around EVERYDAY that when captured in a picture can say and do volumes. I never would have thought my very own backyard could be as magical as it is!

of course around 2:00 am picture ops are kinda scarce! So then I migrate to the craft room and my computer or sculpting! It isn’t gonna be long though and I have a feeling my late nights will involve studying :) I’m gonna go back to school for Graphic Design! On one hand I’m WAY WAY excited! I know…what is wrong with me…it is school..I know…but hello…I spend my wind down time playing on my computer with Photoshop and such…so how AWSOME would it be to do that full time one day…but then again…here is the but…with my full time job now, plus miss Savannah, and the fam….can I really pull off classes! Well we will see…i’m gonna give it my all!!!!

Ohh..and this is getting posted today instead of yesterday because my Sister in law came to town!!!!!!! Along with Krystal!!! YIPPIE!!!!!!! So needless to say we went out to eat last night and stayed up chit chatting so…I wasn’t on the computer ONCE! Can you believe it! And looks like I’m not gonna get to it tonight either…I have a tree I have to put ornaments on :) But then it is picture time :) Ohhh…sad note…the mouse topper got broken :( :( so no more cool mouse…I’ll work on sculpting a new one for next year maybe! oh yeah…in all the free time and all :)

Colored lights on the tree…our house decorations are wreaths and stuff so those get plain white ones :) They have berries and shiney glitter to help dress them up :)

Nope…that is one thing we haven’t normally done…dont’ know why…not like a kiss would be a bad thing..

5. When do you put your decorations up?

LOL….that is tooo funny…this year…well we wanted to wait till my grandma came to town so I could get pictures of all the antics…so this year it isn’t getting done till…well…since you mention it…TOMORROW!!!

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?

UMMMM Gotta be honey glazed spiral cut HAM!!!! ohhh…and of course sweet potatoe casserole with the marshmellows and brown sugar…

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?

Well this actually has to do with the next question…At some point in my younger days…not really really sure what year….but we were debating on opening a gift on Christmas eve and me being the only child and cute and sweet and all…I actually convinced my family to open not one…but alllll the presents!!!!! With gobs and gobs of ornaments!!!! Glass ones…hand blown ones…handmade ones…big ones…small ones….and no we aren’t a family that goes with a specific color scheme…our tree resembles a rainbow!!! We even have an odd topper…my mother at some point in her crafty life made a cute ceramic mouse (I think it was supposed to be a stocking holder) Well he he is cute as a button…he has his little hands out to his sides and he looks like oooooh…gotta balence way up here…oh heck…he is coming out tomorrow…so I’ll snap a picture and show ya… :) :) We also have handmade fabric links that we use as our garland :) :) Country all the way!!!

Decorating the tree…I know that seems like a duh…everyone does it kind of tradition…but decorating the tree brings back memories…from grandma and grandpa meeting to the babies first trip to find an ornament of hers for the tree….So I guess technically I enjoy the memories more than the decorating :) But you gotta have one that sparks the other right :)

6:45 am….Chocolate Chunk Cookie dough was being rolling into balles to bake & of course the smell of warm cookies filled the house shortly after..miss Savannh not wanting to go to school so of course that high pitched screaming/crying…even through the tears I managed to get a hug good bye from her :) The beauty of fog on my drive into work (wishing I wasn’t running late or talk about a picture op. Oh well…

8:00am…The clickty clack of keys on comupters going full force…we have some hard workers around here! The sound of the candy dish in Mary Kay’s office being snuck into (Wonder who it is this time, I just enjoyed the sweet taste of the peanut m&m’s offered to the chocoholice today :)) Ok…so here it is 2:00 and looks like I’m hearing the candy jar a LOT today. Of course it is my hand in it so at least I get the joy of eating it yet AGAIN! So yes, I’m a chocoholic!!!

OHHHH Boy!!!! Charlie is just the best ever!!! Talk about chocoholics going into overdose!!! He brought around some guey nutty brownie ball concoction that is to DIE FOR!!!! Now all I need is some MILK! This is one of those holiday Heavens! MORE CHOCOLATE! Ok…enough on the chocolate :)

Our nice little group (Yolanda, Brett, Shirley, and I) had a nice little chat….we touched on all kinds of things…from lacrosse and tri athalons, to deer, oceans, and Shirley’s hubby’s book about north carolina weather! That was Nice… Well what a great ending to a mundane everyday kind of task like work….umph…it is over…and you know what I hear….SILENCE….not for long…off to get Savannah…

5:00pm…Climb into my car to the sweet smell of Coconuts…I really have to get me another one of those yanke candle car things so when this runs out I can enjoy it some more :) ewww…lots of red lights…that means TRAFFIC!!!

6:00pm…”mommy!!!!” Guess who just noticed I was there to get her :) First thing out of her mouth…”do we get to go shopping?” Yep…we are braving it…back into the red light traffice we go…this time however I have a chorus in the back seat! Christmas shopping I don’t mind doing…ummm…what pretty scrapbooks! Embossed even! They are AWSOME…me ready with my 40% coupon…Savannah picks it…I pay for it…”cha ching”…Back into traffic headed home…

7:00pm…”bark bark bark bark”!!!! The dogs know we are home! But gotta get the mail…ohhhh…look at all our neighbors and thier pretty lights…we will get there ….sooon…I hope…dinner…monkey is hungry…ohhh…ice cold frozen hot dogs…but that is the request…so on to cook they go..not long and they are nice and hot! dipped in ketchup and eaten all up…now for the reward…oreo time!!! and of course…off to toons…
