That my friends is a bit of inspiration for this way fabulous event!! All about 1! I know this is going to sound daunting but you can do it! I swear!

Use only 1 of any product you place on your layout…Example…1 staple, 1 paper, 1 frame, 1 ribbon, 1 button…I think you get the idea! This is ONE OF EACH PRODUCT, so for example Christina’s Grommet overlays count as 1 since they are all together!

The only other rule…this is Christina’s Grand Opening so you gotta use her stuff!!! 85% of your layout must be Christina’s products (NEW OR OLD!) for you to qualify. That is a loaded question…today is a breather, excitement, busy, the calm before the fire….Now would you like to know why it is all those things??

First off, the move from WV is DONE!!! Ok..so at least mostly…the furniture is all in the house, or houses and now for the boxes and pictures But if you’ve ever moved you know it takes a while to get through all those!! The drive there wasn’t bad, but the drive back was way way long!!! And can you believe it…I actually took pictures on the drive there!! well I had tooo! Savannah spent a good three hours telling us how much she loved tunnels and there were two on the way!! I couldn’t believe she remembered!! So…see…I had to take pictures and do a layout! I actually took several pictures of the move and did a layout of it too but darn it…I crashed..so I’ll get that one up soon..but here is my tunnels one

Well that explains breather The move is done.. Excitement…well…that is of course saved for Christina Renee’s Grand Opening!!!! And ooooohhhh are you all in for a treat!! The new goodies are way way awesome…to include a FANTASTIC new Colab kit!!! and of course there are challenges galore so you can grab new stuff!!! Not much longer and the shop will be open and the shelves lined with all kinds of goodies Here ya go…easy access (but warning it is down for the stocking as of right now :))

Now that very news explains the busy comment! I have to play!! And I’m even hosting one of the challenges coming up!! But not today…so you’ll just have to keep an eye out!! You are loved more than you’ll ever know, and that fact was brought home today in a way I never want to feel again! A typical day turned into a nightmare when mom came barging into the house panicked because you weren’t at Day-care. You see she was supposed to pick you up that day. After a few frantic phone calls to your daddy and grandpa I joined her on the panic train! No one had you! And Day-care said you had already been picked up! Where on earth is my little girl!!!!! I’m near tears calling the Day-care to see if it is all a mistake…hoping it is all a mistake…They can’t find you…no explanation…oh wait…you are there!! That simple statement gave my heart more relief than I ever would have thought! My adrenaline plummeted so drastically it made me sick to my stomach…Thank goodness you are ok! Girl you are my life and I would not know what to do without you! If today was any indication I would crumble, fall apart at the seams and be worth nothing! I hope everyday that passes you know you are loved beyond me sure and I would do anything in the world for you! You will be Cherished for Eternity!

Ok…so this week couldn’t end any BETTER!! First off…the painting is coming to an end! We really only have 1 1/2 rooms left!!! I can barely believe it! And it soooo looks awesome! I’m gonna snap a picture of the room that got finished last night cause I just love love love the colors in there! And of course I”ll come back and let you all see!!

Next on the list…Race Race Race!!!! Stef is gonna join me as the second half of The Fantabulous Cheerleading Duo in The Amazing Digi Scrapping Race!!! See…here is our blinkie!! :)

And yep…I created it!! Isn’t it just too cute!! It looks like it is gonna be a whirlwind and a blast!! If you’d like to play too..because of course there are prizes!!! Head over here!

Ohhh….and that evaluation…well…it was my very first so I was nervous as could be and all for NOTHING!!! It went great! I even get to become the IT lady’s Shadow!!! YEAH I get to play with computers!!! :) It may not be nearly as fun as the scrapping but at least it isn’t more Filing!!! :)

Now for the OHHHH MYYYYY GOSH NEWS!!!!!

Remember that fun Layout I did, I think it was the last post I showed you…well….I MADE IT!!! I got picked to be on Christina Renee’s CT as a Guest for July!!!! I’m just speechless! On Cloud 9!!!! Of course yes busy me added yet another thing to my plate but it is soooo worth it! I’ll have several several late late nighters to manage to keep up with my other CTs, painting, Cheerleading, and of course the steep rules for this awesome opportunity!! But I willl willll willll make it…Thanks to Christina and her Team for letting me into your awesome little group! I won’t let you all down!!!

Now off to do some work and hmmm….maybe for lunch I’ll sketch up some ideas for layouts!! :)

So I’m sure you all know I’m a big Christina Renee Fan…well…last night I had a break from painting, mom wouldn’t let me!! She needed a break so that meant no to me painting! So I was parusing my digi forums and poof what do I see?? Christina’s CT is at it again! They are full of challenges! This one however could be a dream come true…we were to grab the pack she was offing for a freebie scrap a layout with the them “how are you different” and link them up to it and it might win me a spot as a Guest on the team!!! OHHHHHHH WOWOWOWOW!!! So…I ordered my stuff and created a layout with the stuff I already had till it could be downloaded…well…I didn’t hold out…had to crash..but I was up at 2 for some ungodly reason wide awake and there it was the download links in my email..so…I grabed them and finished my layout! It was a blast, and thanks girls for the opportunity! I don’t envy them at all!! They have to choose and there is a TON of really coool talented scrapper playing along!!! But you never know till you try…so Here is my try with all my might

Ok…so my Hot off the Press topic today so was started by my little girl this morning…My DH had an audit this morning at work so I had to take Monkey to daycare this morning…Well…I’m not a morning person…never have been…I mean we are talking when I was little I was so adverse to getting up I used to come out in the morning with my blankie over my head with a pair of sun glasses over that and eat my breakfast burried beneath my light shelter!!! HOW sad is that!!! Well…I really am no different now I just have gotten over the having to show it nearly as badly!! Today was just plain strange though..I got up earlier than I’m used to and was actually in a great mood…I mean that happy go lucky mood that I want to strangle most people for in the mornings!! Well, Monkey isn’t any better than I used to do…SHE HATES mornings…well…I get her up…we both get ready..me chattering on…her mute as can be (NOT NORMAL)….We tromp downstairs to get ready to leave…I open the door…and bammm…it is slammed shut by mrs. thing!! She looks at me all serious like and announces “Mommy we need to talk, There are rules in the morning, and you are being bad and breaking them!” So yes…chipper me (again not normal) asks…”I’m sorry sweetie what did I do?” (hello…I’m the adult here asking the 3 year old what I’ve done wrong…do you see something wrong with that picture? I do…but anyway!! She very hastely informs me of my misdoings! “There is absolutly no smiling or talking in the morning mom! Don’t you know that…I’m sleepy and don’t want to be up so I’m not happy and you can’t be either!!!” OHHHHHH Talk about pissing her off…I couldn’t hold it back I was rolling!! I mean goood heavens talk about the spitting image of me!! Needless to say we did make it to the car, even though I was getting a major NASTY look the whole way!! And even made it to Daycare in one piece!! I’m telling you kids are the greatest!!!!

Now…I scrapped the other evening….Painting has been a bear and I needed some wind down time…so this is my creation…

Well I am a customer for life with Christina Renee and have just buying up her stuff left and right…but this is one of the few times I’ve gotten to play with it all!!! So here is what I used and links to go grab them all!!

Ok…so since classes are out I wanted to try and catch up on my CT fun!! Yes I think of it as fun not WORK!!! These Fabulous desingers give you Awesome products to work with and it is my pleasure to not only use them but by golly show them off and get you other amazing scrappers to go grab them and play!! I provide the inspiration that makes you WANT WANT WANT THEM!!! Soo…Laura White had a new kit Corgen up at My Digital Muse and I Just loved it! So I had to play…Well don’t you just hate it when you get an idea in your head and once it is there it just isn’t right till it is well, Right! I played with the kit and one of the awesome papers has this tooo cool torn and curled edge to it! Well I wanted to tuck something under it and well, it is a flat file not layers…soooo…thanks to the awesome tip from Scrap Girls I was able to realize my vision…and darned if it wasn’t just a way simple thing to do! I had tried every other way more difficult thing to no avail!! Just goes to show the old saying of “two heads are better than one” is soooo true…sooo…enough jabbering…here is that inspiration and even a little mini tutorial to tell you how I accomplished my desire!

Now for the enabling!! You know you wanna grab all this way awesome products!!! ohhh…one of them was a freebie from Christina Renee on NSD in May but I’ll link you up to her post in case it is still available, and while you are there add her to your blog roll…she ROCKS TOO!!

And for that mini tutorial See I didn’t forget!

To get the picture beneath the torn and rolled edge since this was a flat and not layered piece I took my rectangular marquee tool and drew a rectangle around the portion that would overlap the picture and elements. Make a copy of that section and then put a mask on it. I then used a hard brush to erase the majority of what I didn’t want to see and then used a soft brush at an opacity and flow of like 20 to slowly paint away the rest…blending it into the paper so that the shadow was just the slightest bit transparent.
